(1-lb.) log Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
-
Various nonpareils in holiday colors, for decorating
- 1
(9-oz.) box Pillsbury Shape cookie dough
-
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap log of sugar cookie dough. Slice log into 16 (1/2″-thick) pieces (27 g. each). Gently roll slices into balls. Using the palm of your hand, flatten to disks about 1/2″ thick.
- Step 2Divide nonpareils by color among plates; you’ll need about 1/4 c. (2 oz.) of each color. (We used red, green, and white.) Roll dough in nonpareils until coated. Transfer to 2 parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Step 3Bake cookies until they begin to spread, about 2 minutes.
- Step 4Meanwhile, open package of Pillsbury Shape cookie dough and break apart. Stack one Pillsbury Shape on top each sugar cookie.
- Step 5Continue to bake until edges of cookies are golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes more.
- Step 6Make Ahead: Cookies can be made 2 days ahead. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
