The holidays are about to get real saucy following a bombshell announcement from McDonald’s. Not only is the restaurant bringing back its cult-favorite McRib next month, they’re also selling McRib sauce for the first time ever. Consider it a sweet and tangy holiday miracle.
The barbecue sauce will be available in a half-gallon jug that McDonald’s has dubbed “A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce.”
Starting November 25 at 10 a.m. ET, you’ll be able to buy a big jug of your own McRib sauce for $19.99 at wholelottamcribsauce.com. The Whole Lotta McRib Sauce jugs are only available while supplies last, so be sure to act fast.
Now that McDonald’s fans have access to one of the restaurant’s most sought after sauces, they hope those lucky enough to snag a jug share them at holiday parties, create festive recipes, or consider gifting them.
“The McRib is more than a sandwich—it’s a part of culture, it’s a legend, it’s an event,” said Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, in a statement. “McRib SZN is a holiday unto itself, so we wanted to embrace that spirit.”
If you happen to miss out on the McRib jug drop, don’t worry. You can still get your hands on a McRib sandwich at participating McDonald’s locations starting December 3.
